About Your Visit

Did you know that the American Orthodontic Association (AAO) recommends that all children receive an orthodontic exam by a specialist by age 7?

The reason for the examination is as follows:
  • The posterior occlusion is established when the first molars erupt; At that time, one can evaluate the anterior-posterior and transverse relationships of the occlusion, as well as discover any functional shifts or cross bites.
  • Incisors have begun to erupt and problems can be detected such as crowding, bad habits, deep bites, open bites and some jaw discrepancies.
  • For some, a timely evaluation will lead to significant treatment benefits; for others, the principal immediate benefit is a parent's peace of mind.
The AAO does not advocate comprehensive orthodontic treatment at age 7. However, interceptive treatment may be appropriate in the kinds of problems shown.

WHY USE INVISALIGN?
It is invisible (no metal wires or brackets), removable (easier to eat, brush & floss), comfortable and convenient. Great for an active lifestyle.

HOW DOES INVISALIGN WORK?
Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign translates your doctor's instructions into a series of nearly undetectable Aligners. You wear each set of Aligners for about three weeks, moving your teeth gradually until you've achieved the desired result.

IS INVISALIGN EFFECTIVE?
Invisalign is effective in treating both teens and adults. It works for a wide range of people whose teeth are too crowded or have spaces between them.

HOW LONG DOES INVISALIGN TAKE?
The length of treatment depends on the severity of your case. A FREE TREATMENT CONSULT with Nicki our Treatment Coordinator and Dr. Principe can determine the length and course of your treatment.

DOES INSURANCE COVER INVISALIGN?
Typically, an insurance policy that covers traditional braces also covers Invisalign to the same extent. This guide and presentation is produced by A L I G N TECHNOLOGY, INC. California

Financial Arrangements and Insurance
We offer a wide variety of payment options for you to make your smile a reality. Flexible, customized financial arrangements are available. A records fee is taken at the start of treatment. Treatment fees are usually divided into convenient monthly installments with no interest charges to you. We do offer a cash discount and third party financing. Our office does accept some insurance and will process and file your insurance claim as a courtesy to you.

Our highly qualified staffs are trained to assist you in any way they can. Your full understanding is essential and will only enhance the process.

What Will Happen During my First Visit to the Office?
At your initial appointment to our office, you will be greeted by our Treatment Coordinator who will personally acquaint you with the office and introduce you to other staff members. Your medical history will be taken and reviewed followed by a full comprehensive orthodontic exam and clinical evaluation by Dr. Gilbert A. Principe. This exam will include a dental/skeletal facial analysis of your mouth and head and jaw alignment. Dr. Principe will answer all of your questions relating to the treatment process, timing of treatment and costs relating to course of treatment. You will be furnished with a detailed explanation of Dr. Principe's clinical findings and recommendations. We will also be in contact with your dentist for complete review of treatment.
